"Jonge Wegweters" (meaning "young pathfinders" in Dutch) is an initiative from "Bataljong" and "Kind & Samenleving".
This project focuses on understanding how young people experience daily travel, considering factors like obstacles, preferences, and reliance on their way. This insight is crucial for developing a mobility policy that meets the needs of young people, to improve the transportation structure, making it more likely for them to choose sustainable modes of transport in the future.
Bataljong has commissioned me to create illustrations for the website of the project. I was tasked with creating engaging characters and illustrations that resonate with young people and to integrate them in real photos from some specific locations in Flanders.
